Jeff Smith is the owner and photographer at Sunrise Studios in Cottonwood Heights, UT.
He shoots creative/fine-art portraits and headshots on 35mm and medium-format, digital and film, both in the studio and on-location.
Hi, I'm Jeff Smith and I'm the owner and photographer at Sunrise Studios. I like to create images beyond the traditional portrait shoot and really try to get creative with emotion, mood and form that really try to tell the story of who you are and what you're experiencing at the moment. I try to shoot in a minimalist style with lots of contrast and detail that I hope makes the final images appear natural and evocative.
All of my sessions are designed so that we can take the time needed to get you comfortable being in front of the camera and creating images you'll be happy with--no rushing or re-used setups to just get the shot and move on. I offer personal all-inclusive sessions that are affordable, relaxed and dedicated to getting the best images for my clients.

about The Studio Space
All studio shoots are done at Photopia Studios in Cottonwood Heights, Utah with easy freeway access (map and directions). The studio features an incredible 2,500 square feet of shooting space offering several truly dynamic environments including several different sets and built-out backdrops. This private studio space is perfect for portraits, conceptual photography and professional headshots.
